College teacher hacked in Madaripur

A college teacher was hacked by miscreants in Madaripur Sadar upazila on Wednesday.

The victim was identified as Ripon Chakrabarty, a lecturer of Mathematics department of the college.

Ziaul Morshed, officer- in- charge of Madaripur Sadar Police Station said one of the attackers, Golam Faizullah, was caught by the locals while fleeing after the attack. He was later handed over to police.

The seriously injured teacher was rushed to Madaripur Sadar Hospital. Later, he was shifted to Barisal Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated, the OC added.
