Bus-microbus collision kills 2

Two people were killed and five others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a microbus in Cumilla on Saturday morning. 

The incident took place on Dhaka-Chattogram highway near Korpai area in Burichang upazila of the district around 9:30am. 

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. 

According to the highway police, a Feni-bound bus of Star Line Paribahan collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound microbus in the area. A female passenger and the driver of the microbus died on the spot and five others were also injured. Later, the injured people were sent to Cumilla Medical College Hospital. 

Safayet Hossen, officer-in-charge of Moynamoti highway police station, said, the dead bodies and the vehicles were recovered from the spot.
