Saudi extends Iqama for Bangladeshi workers

Saudi Arabia has extended Iqama (valid work permit) for Bangladeshi workers for 24 days.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam confirmed this in a post at his verified Facebook page on Wednesday.  

In the post, he wrote that in request of Bangladesh government, Saudi government has taken the decisions bellow- 

  • Iqama has been extended until last day of Arabic month Safar (Twenty four days from today).
  • Bangladesh Biman has been permitted to operate four flights each week to Riyadh and Jeddah.
  • Visa office of Saudi Arabia Embassy in Dhaka will remain open from Sunday where consular services would be provided following new guidelines on COVID-19.
