Key accused in cop murder case killed in ‘gunfight’

A key accused in the Assistant Sub-inspector Sujaul Islam Suja murder case, was killed in an alleged gunfight with police at Padmar Char in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna early Wednesday.

The deceased is Rubel Hossain, 25, son of Idris Ali, a resident of Diarbaghail village of the upazila.

Police recovered two revolvers and two rounds of bullet from the spot.

Earlier on October 5 last year, police recovered the body of Sujaul Islam Suja, ASI of the police station, from a field at Pakshi in the upazila.
