6 govt officials made secretaries

In the latest reshuffle in the administration, the government has elevated six top officials to secretaries.

The Public Administration Ministry issued two notifications on Tuesday in this regard.

Those who were promoted are acting Youth and Sports Secretary Quazi Akhter Uddin, acting Shipping Secretary Ashok Madhab Roy, acting Cabinet Division (Coordination and Reforms) Secretary NM Ziaul Alam, acting Energy and Mineral Resources Division Secretary Nazimuddin Chowdhury, acting Bangladesh Public Service Commission Secretariat Secretary Mohammad Nurunnabi Talukdar and Rector of BCS Administration Academy Mohammad Abdullah, news agency reported.

Of them, the former four were appointed secretaries of their respective ministries and divisions while the latter two were attached to the Public Administration Ministry as officers on special duty as they will be given their postings later.
