Gradual improvement of UNO Wahida's condition continues
Gradual improvement of Ghoraghat UNO Wahida Khanam's physical condition continued, and she can be called about out of danger, doctor said on Saturday.
Mohammad Zahed Hossain, chief Neuro surgeon at National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital, came up with the latest information about her health condition.
"We detached sewings in her (Wahida) head today and the places of sewings are in good," Zahed said, adding, "Still, we did not allow her all kinds of food but she is having solid food. Her blood pressure and sense are normal."
The physician, also head of the medical board formed in the UNO's treatment, said the condition of Wahida's numbed right hand improved to elbow.
Asked UNO Wahida can be called out of danger, Zahed said, "Yes, she can be called about out of danger but anytime difficulty may create as she is under treatment."
Earlier on September 2, miscreants in an attack severely injured Dinajpur's Ghoraghat Upazila Nirbahi Officer Wahida and her father Omar Ali at her home on the Upazila Parishad premises.
They were rushed to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital. Later, the UNO was airlifted to capital Dhaka.
Now she is undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital.
