PM mourns death of Sector commander Abu Osman

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of valiant freedom fighter and Sector commander of the 1971 Liberation War Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Abu Osman Chowdhury, reports BSS.

In a condolence message, the prime minister with profound respect recalled the outstanding contributions of Abu Osman Chowdhury to the country’s great Liberation War.

“The country and nation have lost a valiant freedom fighter at the death of Abu Osman Chowdhury, and his contributions to the Liberation War will be remembered forever,” she said.

Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.

Abu Osman Chowdhury, the commander of sector-8 during the Liberation War, breathed his last at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka this morning.
