Sector commander Abu Osman dies from coronavirus

Abu Osman Chowdhury, a sector commander during the Liberation War in 1971, has died from coronavirus.

He breathed his last at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in the capital around 8am on Saturday. 

His personal assistant Abul Bashar confirmed the death to Jago News.

Earlier on August 30, Abu Osman was admitted to CMH after he tested positive for coronavirus.

Abu Osman, who served as the commander of sector-8 during the Liberation War, was the vice-chairman of Sector Commanders' Forum (SCF).
