4 get death for killing madrasa student

A Khulna court has sentenced four people to death in a case filed over the murder of madrasa student and grocery shopkeeper Musa Shikder in Khulna. 

Khulna District and Sessions Judge Md Moshiur Rahman Chowdhury passed the order on Wednesday. 

The death-row convicts are Boni Amin Shikder, Rahim Sheikh, Raju Shikder and Nuh Sheikh.

The court also acquitted two people after they were not found guilty in the case. They are Siraj Shikder and his brother Jasim Shikder. 

On September 20, 2018, police found the body of Musa from Atharobekee River in Rupsa upazila. 

On September 27, Musa’s father Mustakim Shikder filed a complaint at the court. Later, a murder case was recorded with Rupsa Police Station in the direction of the court. 

On 30 May, 2019, Mukta Roy Chowdhury, investigation officer of the case submitted a charge sheet accusing six people to the court.
