34 militants among 3245 arrested
Police headquarters claimed that a total of 3245 people have been arrested including 34 militants during the anti-militant drives for the third consecutive days.
Public Relations officer of police headquarters Quamrul Ahsan confirmed the incident on Monday.
Police started the anti-militant drive after the killing of police superintendent’s wife by unidentified miscreants in Chittagong on June 5.
It is suspected that, the militants are the behind of the police superintendent’s wife killing.
On the first day of anti-militants drive, police arrested 3155 including 37 militants from Friday night to Saturday morning.
On the second day, 1496 warrant accused, 588 regular accused and 48 militants were arrested.
