Over 2000 health workers catch Covid-19 in capital

The number of the health workers caught the novel coronavirus has surpassed 2000 in capital Dhaka.

As of Thursday, the total number of infected-health workers stood at 2075, according to Bangladesh Medical Association.

The infected include 860 are physicians, 775 nurses and 440 other health workers, BMA said. 

However, 78 physicians died after being infected with coronavirus or with the virus symptoms. 

A total of 7,660 health workers across the country contracted the deadly virus.

Bangladesh witnessed 2,87,959 coronavirus cases and 3,822 deaths since the country first confirmed its coronavirus cases.
