48 held in Anti-militant combing operation

Some 48 militant have been arrested in eight districts from Saturday night till Sunday morning as the law enforcers continued a weeklong countrywide anti-militant combing operation.

Kamrul Ahsan, Public relations officer of police said, law enforcers conducted a special drive across the country and arrested 48 militants, 1,496 wanted and 588 others from different parts of the country.

Law enforcers have started a weeklong countrywide anti-militant combing operation across the country after killing of SP’s wife on June 5 in Chittagong, the PRO added.

Earlier on Saturday, police arrested 3,155 including 37 militants from different places of the country.
