Flood situation in eight districts may improve, and it remain stable in nine districts in next 24 hours, according to the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre.

The districts which might witness improvement are Munshiganj, Faridpur, Madaripur, Chandpur, Rajbari, Brahmanbaria, Shariatpur and Dhaka.

Flood situation likely to stay stable in Kurigram, Gaibandha, Bogura, Jamalpur, Natore, Sirajganj, Tangail, Manikganj and Narayanganj districts during the period. 

Besides, flood in low-lying areas adjacent to Dhaka City Corporations remains stable and may continue in next 24 hours.

Water level of the Brahmaputra river remains stable while the Jamuna river's water was increasing but water of both rivers likely to decline in next 24 hours.

There was a decrease in water level of the Ganga and Padma rivers and may continue during the period.
