376 held in Ctg crackdown

Some 376 people have been arrested from different upazilas of Chittagong from Friday morning to Saturday morning as the law enforcers continued a weeklong countrywide anti-militant combing operation across the country.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) of Chittagong Md Rezaul Masud said as a part of weeklong countrywide anti-militant combing operation Chittagong district and Metropolitan Police conducted special drives across the district from Friday 8am to Saturday 8am and arrested 376 people including Jamaat-Shibir activists and fugitives. 

Police also recovered two riffles, two local gun and eight rounds of bullets during the drives.

Law enforcers have started a weeklong countrywide anti-militant combing operation across the country after killing of SP’s wife on June 5 in Chittagong.
