Now attendant of Anukulchandra Ashram killed in Pabna

An attendant of Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra Ashram (asylum) of Panba hacked to death by miscreants in Hemayetpur upazila early Friday.

Officer-in charge of Pabna Sadar Police Station Abdullah Al Hasan said Nittyaranjan Pandey, 62, son of late Rashik Lal Pandey of Gopalganj, set for a morning walk around 5am.

While he reached at Panba Mental Hospital area, miscreants carried out a sudden attack on him and hit on his head and neck with sharp weapon, leaving him dead on spot.

Being informed, police rushed in to the spot and recovered the body.The motives behinds the killing could not be known yet. Nittyaranjan had been serving at the asylum for 40 years.

Alamgir Kabir, superintendent of Pabna Police visited the spot.

The incident took place three days into the killing of an elderly Hindu priest, Anando Gopal Ganguly in Jhenidah.
