Aslam confesses Israel link: DMP

BNP joint secretary general Aslam Chowdhury has confessed of his meeting with Israeli spy agency Mossad.

Unit chief of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Additional Commissioner Monirul Islam has informed this to reporters on Thursday morning.

He added that, Aslam has also admitted that he met Israeli political figure, Mendi N Safadi to plot against the government.

The BNP’s joint secretary general, also divulged the names of the ‘masterminds’ who sent him up to meet the Israeli politician, Monirul Islam said in a press briefing.

Aslam was arrested on May 15 from Dhaka city’s Khilkhet area on alleged charges of sedition. He was also shown arrested in two arson cases filed during BNP’s anti-government agitation last year.
