Bangladeshi shot dead by BSF

A cattle trader was shot to death by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) near Bangladesh-India border at Char Majhardiyar area in Sadar upazila of Rajshahi district on Thursday morning.

Battalion Commander of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) -1 Shahjahan Siraj said members of BSF opened fire on Roni Khalasi, 28, son of late Abul Khalasi hailing from Majhardiyar village while he was trying to enter India through the border on Wednesday around 11pm, leaving him critically injured.

Roni reached at his house after sustaining bullet injury and succumbed his injuries on Thursday morning.
