Coronavirus cases in Gazipur fall sharply

The number of coronavirus cases in Gazipur, which was marked as red zone for having higher number of the virus infections, has declined significantly.
In the past 24 hours, the district recorded 17 confirmed COVID-19 cases against tests of 262 samples.
Some 37 tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday after 313 sample tests, results of 15 out of 465 samples came positive on Monday and the same was 92 against 241 sample tests on Sunday.
The district, so far, reported 3,782 coronavirus cases against 26,890 tests. Of the patients, 1,600 made recovery.
However, fatalities from the disease also saw decrease as the district recorded one death in last three days.
A total of 46 people died from the deadly virus in the district as of Wednesday.
