Ex-health directorate chief dies of Covid-19

Former chief of the Directorate General of Health services prof Dr AKM Nurul Anwar has died of COVID-19.

He, also life time member of Bangladesh Medical Association, breathed his last at city's Anwar Khan Modern Hospital Ltd at around 12:30pm on Sunday.

He was 78.

BMA President Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin, who also caught the virus, and Secretary General Dr Md Ihteshamul Haque Chowdhury expressed their sorrows at the death of Nurul Anwar.
