Case filed over Jhenaidah priest murder
A case has been filed over the murder of a priest Anondo Gopal alias Nondo Thakur in Jhenaidah.
Arun Gopal Ganguly elder son of the deceased filed the case with Jhenaidah police station on Wednesday.
Besides, On Wednesday morning Rajesh Ukhay, political secretary of Indian high commission and first secretary Ramakanta (counselor and visa) visited the spot due to the priest murder.
They also visited the deceased village home, murder place and the Siddheswari temple of Naldanga around 10am.
Altaf Hossen police super (SP) of Jhenaidah, leaders of Hindu-Buddha-Christian oikko parishad were also present beside them.
On Tuesday (07-06-2016), Ganguli was slaughtered to death by miscreants while he was going to offer his worship at a nearby temple.
