Covid-19 cases in police force cross 10000

Coronavirus cases in police force reached 10,160  and deaths from the disease 41 as of Sunday.

In the past 24 hours, the deadly virus infected 212 more cops, according to the sources in police headquarters.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has been hardest hit with 2248 policemen contracted the virus.

However, 6,045 police members recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. 

Bangladesh confirmed its first COVID-19 cases on March 8, and since then it has been seeing hike in the number of infections and deaths.

The number of country's total coronavirus cases stood at 1,37,787 and fatalies 1,738.
