Inqilab editor sued under Digital Security Act
Daily Inqilab's Editor AMM Bahauddin and its reporter Selim Sarker have been sued under the Digital Security Act.
Barrister Soumitra Sarker lodged the lawsuit with Gulshan Police Station on Saturday, sub-inspector Nazrul Islam confirmed to Jago News.
The national daily has recently published a comment with headline 'Remove HT Imam' where it was said that Prime Minister's Political Affairs Advisor HT Imam had link with Laxmipur-2 MP Kazi Shahid Islam Papul detained in Kuwait in connection with human trafficking, according to the case statement.
Plaintiff mentioned in the statement that such comment defamed the advisor's dignity and tarnished the image of country and government.
