CHT affairs Minister recovers from Covid-19

Chattogram Hill Tracts (CHT) affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing has made recovery from COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

"Today (Wednesday) results of minister's last coronavirus test came negative and he was discharged from hospital around 2pm," the minister's PRO Nasir Uddin told Jago News.

Minister has expressed his gratitude to those who prayed for his recovery, Nasir added.

Earlier on June 7, Ushwe Sing was airlifted to Dhaka from Bandarban and admitted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) after he had caught the lethal virus on June 6.

He became the first Cabinet member who tested positive for COVID-19.
