1097 doctors catch coronavirus in Bangladesh
The number of coronavirus-infected physicians, nurses, and other health workers in Bangladesh kept soaring.
As of Monday, 1097 doctors, 957 nurses and 1460 other health workers caught the deadly virus, according to Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA).
Besides, 45 doctors, so far, died from COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, BMA said.
Bangladesh, however, today recorded 3,480 more coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, said the Directorate General of Health Services.
The health authorities also reported 38 new deaths from the deadly virus.
With this, the country's infections and fatalities stood at 115,786 and 1,502 respectively.
First coronavirus cases were detected in Bangladesh on March 8 and since then the pathogen kept spreading fast.
