Islamic scholar Kamaluddin Zafree hospitalized

Renowned Islamic scholar Sayed Kamaluddin Abdullah Zafree has been admitted to a hospital in Dhaka after he fell sick.

He, founder of Bangladesh Islamic University, was hospitalized as his blood pressure rose, the scholar's son-in-law Md Masud told Jago News.

Kamaluddin Zafree has also diabetes, Masud said, adding that his father-in-law's sample was collected for coronavirus test but the report came negative.

Kamaluddin Zafree is also the founder and director general of Jamea Kasemiya Kamil Madrasa, Narsingdi. 

He was former chairman of Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh. Currently he is the chairman of Mutual Trust Bank's Shariah Board.

He is one of the members of international Islamic organization Rabitat al-Alam al-Islami.
