DGHS director Iqbal Kabir tests positive for Covid-19
Professor Dr Iqbal Kabir, director (planning and research) of the Directorate General of Health Services, has contracted the novel coronavirus.
His younger brother and Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) vice-president Nazrul Kabir told Jago News on Friday.
The DGHS official is now in isolation at his home, Nazrul added.
Earlier the health authorities' director general prof Dr Abul Kalam Azad had the deadly virus but subsequently he made full recovery from the disease.
Coronavirus cases in Bangladesh stood at 105,537, and fatalities from the disease reached 1388 as of Friday, according to DGHS.
