UCB director Farid dies from Covid-19

United Commercial Bank Ltd's director Farid Uddin Ahmed died from COVID-19, the disease caused by novel coronavirus, early Thursday.

He, also the member of UCB Risk Management Committee, breathed his last at city's Anwar Khan Modern Hospital Ltd. He was 74.

UCB board of directors, managing board, and UCB family expressed their profound shock and sorrow at the fellow's death.

Born in Chattogram in 1948, Farid Uddin obtained honours and masters degree from University of Dhaka.
