Visa-on-arrival suspended until further notice

Bangladesh has suspended the visa-on-arrival service until further notice to stop spread of the coronavirus.
It was informed in a letter sent to the Additional Inspector General of Police of the Special Branch from the Security Services Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday.
As per its earlier instructions, the on-arrival visa suspension was till June 15.
Bangladesh so far reported 1,262 coronavirus deaths and 94,481 cases.
The country reported its first three cases of COVID-19 on March 8.
The new coronavirus pandemic first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December last year.
The World Health Organisation declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
