Councilor Khorshed recovers from coronavirus

Narayanganj city ward councillor Maqsoodul Alam Khondaker Khorshed, who is believed to have contracted coronavirus while performing burial of the virus victims, finally recovered.

Khorshed self informed about his recovery in a facebook status on Sunday afternoon, saying, "I recovered from coronavirus with mercy of Allah."

Juba Dal leader Maqsoodul, councilor of ward 13 of the city, had gained applause through performing burial of people who died from coronavirus in a time when people avoid it in fear of transmission.

The frontliner tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by novel coronavirus, on May 30 and underwent treatment for 15 days.

Khorshed's wife Afroza Khandaker Luna had also been infected with the virus, and later won her battle against the pathogen.
