Another doctor dies of COVID-19

Another doctor died from COVID-19 at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in the capital on Friday morning.
The deceased is Doctor Mahmud Monwar, 43, Assistant Professor of Cardiology Department of NICVD.
He breathed his last at Intensive Care Unit of the hospital around 9:30am.
With Monwar, 29 doctors have died after contracting coronavirus infection.
Doctor Rahat Anwar Chowdhury, Joint Secretary of Foundation for Doctors’ Safety, Rights and Responsibilities, confirmed the death to Jago News.
He said, 1,153 doctors have been infected with coronavirus till Thursday.
