Jhenaidah priest slaughtered to death

A hindu priest was slaughtered to death by unidentified miscreants near at Morisadanga Beel of Jhenaidah early Tuesday.

The victim is Ananda Kumar Ganguli, 64. He was a priest at Noldanga temple under the upazila.

Local people spotted the corpse of Ganguli, on Tuesday morning and they informed police. Later police recovered the throat-slit body of a Hindu priest.

Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge Hasan Hafizur Rahman said, only after proper investigation, it can be said whether there is a militant link with the killing.

A police team was sent to the crime spot, OC also said.
