Sexagenarian rapes minor girl luring nut

A sixty-year-old man has confessed to rapping a three-year-old girl luring her nut in city's Hazaribag.

Sujan Mia made his confessional statement before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Judge Abu Sufian on Tuesday. 

After recording his statement under section 164 of criminal procedure, the court ordered to send him to jail.

Abdul Wadud, sub-inspector of Hazaribagh Police Station, confirmed the matter.

In his confessional statement, Sujan Mia, a nut seller by profession, said he took the minor girl in a house luring her nut on June 1 and forcefully violated her there.

Two days after, the victim's family lodged a case with the police station in this connection.

Following the case was filed, police arrested the accused from Bhairab.
