Women Affairs Dept Director dies from coronavirus

Director of Department of Women Affairs Md Fakhrul Kabir died from coronavirus in the wee hours of Tuesday. 

He breathed his last at Square Hospitals in the capital around 2:30am.

Ministry of Women and Children Affairs confirmed the death in a press release this morning. 

Kabir was infected with coronavirus in the first week of June. He was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital after his health condition deteriorated. He was shifted to Square Hospitals on Monday. His wife is also coronavirus positive and she is receiving treatment from home, the press release said.

State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Fazilatunnesa Indira and its Secretary Kazi Rowshan Akter expressed their deep shocks at the death of Kabir.
