Parliament's 43 officials catch coronavirus

Some 43 officials working of the National Parliament, and 82 ansar members engaged in its security have tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by novel coronavirus.

Ariful Haque, chief medical officer of Parliament Medical Center, confirmed the officials' coronavirus to Jago News on Monday.

Panic gripped the other officials of the house and ansar employed following the news of fellows' coronavirus positive.

Meanwhile, Ansar and VDP deputy director (communication) Mehenaz Tabassum Rebin confirmed the ansar's corona positive.

Besides, three police men engaged in parliament bhaban contracted the virus. 

The all infected have been sent to home quarantine, said parliament secretariat's senior secretary Dr 

Zafar Ahmed Khan.

To avoid trasmission of coronavirus during upcoming budget session, samples of the parliament's around 300 officials were examined. Among them, 43 found having the virus.
