Ctg MP, 10 family members contract coronavirus

Md Mostafizur Rahman, a parliament member from Chattogram- 16 (Banskhali) constituency, and his 10 family members have been infected with coronavirus.

AKM Mostafizur Rahman Russel, APS of lawmaker Mostafizur, confirmed the matter to Jago News over phone

He said samples of 16 people of the MP's house were collected on June 1, and out of them, 11 tested positive for COVD-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, on the following day.

"Sir (MP) has been avoided gathering to maintain social distance, and ensured all sorts of protective measures for him and his family. Despite that his COVID-19 positive surprised all of us," Russel said.

Mentioning that MP Mostafizur and other infected persons are in isolation, the APS said, "With grace of Allah, Sir is doing well and all of his family members also doing fine."
