Coronavirus cases in Gazipur near 1500; deaths 11

The coronavirus cases in Gazipur neared 1500, and the virus related deaths stood at 11.
In the past 24 hours, 60 people newly contracted COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.
With this, the number of total cases in the district reached 1490, civil surgeon Dr Md Khairuzzaman said on Thursday afternoon.
Out of the new patients, 26 are residents of Gazipur City Corporation and Sadar upazila, 25 of Shreepur, seven of Kaliakair, and two of Kapasia upazilas.
So far, Gazipur City Corporation and Sadar upazila have highest cases of 956, Kaliakair 163, Kaliganj 151, Kapasia 102, and Shreepur 118.
