Founder of Shanto-Mariam University dies from Covid-19
The founder of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, Imamul Kabir Shanto, has died from COVID-19, the disease caused by novel coronavirus.
He, also the founding chairman of Sundarban Courier Service, breathed his last at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) around 8am on Saturday.
Sundarban Courier Service's vice chairman Hafizur Rahman Pulok confirmed the matter to Jago News.
Recently the freedom fighter with coronavirus symptoms was first admitted to Labaid Specialized Hospital and later to Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital.
Imamul Kabir was lastly shifted at CMH on May 27 as his condition deteriorated where he passed away.
