2000 newly recruited doctors asked to join by May 15

A total of 2,000 doctors recently recruited as assistant surgeons have been asked to join their workplaces within May 15.
A gazette notification on their appointment signed by Dr Md Belal Hossen, Director of Health Directorate (administration) was issued on Saturday.
The government has appointed 2,000 doctors from those who passed the special exams of 39th Bangladesh Civil Service on an emergency basis to fight the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Public Service Commission on April 30 recommended the recruitment of 2,000 doctors from 39th Special BCS as per the demand of the Ministry of Public Administration.
