Minimum Fitra fixed at Tk 70

This year’s minimum Fitra has been fixed at Tk 70 per person. 

The maximum Fitra has been set at Tk 2200, Shayla Sharmeen, Assistant Public Relations Officer of Islamic Foundation told Jago News. 

The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Fitra Fixing Committee held at the conference room of Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram office in the capital on Monday.

The amount has been fixed considering the market prices of flour, dates and other essential items.

Fitra is paid to the poor before the Eid Jamaat.
