Coronavirus cases in Cumilla rises to 46
The number of the novel coronavrirus cases in Cumilla rose to 46 after two more people caught the virus in the past 24 hours in the district.
Civil surgeon Dr Md Niatuzzaman on Saturday said samples of 1,149 people were, so far, examined in the district. Of them, 46 tested positive for COVID-19.
Some 5,269 people were quarantined, and among them, 4,017 were gradually discharged from quarantine, he added.
Coronavirus kept spreading to newer districts of Bangladesh since the country first confirmed its cases of the deadly virus on March 8.
Some 4,998 people contracted the novel coronavirus and 140 died from the virus in the country as of Saturday.
