11-month-old contracts coronavirus in Manikganj

An 11-month-old child has been infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Singair upazila of Manikganj district.
With this, the number of the virus cases stood at 10 in the district.
Civil surgeon Dr Anwarul Amin Akhanda said the infant tested positive on Wednesday and is now being treated at Dhaka Shishu Hospital.
Among the infected people in the district, three are Tabligh members and residents of Singair, three of Sadar, two of Shibalaya, and one of Harirampur upazilas.
Bangladesh first reported its coronavirus cases on March 8. Since then the country has been witnessing increase in the infections and deaths.
As of Wednesday, 3,772 people caught the virus and 120 died from, with 92 recovered from.
