Three more including 5-year-old catch coronavirus in Netrakona

The novel coronavirus cases stood at 16 in Netrakona as of Wednesday after three people, including a five-year-old girl, were newly infected with the deadly virus.

The minor girl is a resident of Lakhshimpur village in Sadar upazila while the rest two, a male and a female, of Koniahati, and Panchhat villages in Kendua, and Khaliajuri upazilas respectively. They are in their 27s and 45s. 

Their samples were examined at at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, civil surgeon Md Tajul Islam Khan confirmed.

Some 1,231 people caught the novel coronavirus and 50 died from the virus in Bangladesh as of Wednesday since the country detected its first cases on March 8.
