Govt postpones Pahela Baishakh programmes

The government has postponed all programmes and activities taken to celebrate the Pahela Baishakh to stop spread of coronavirus pandemic.
A letter signed by Mohammad Abdul Wadud, Deputy Secretary of Cabinet Division, has been issued in this regard today.
Earlier on Tuesday, Prime minister Sheikh Hasina asked all to suspend celebrations marking Pahela Baishakh, Bengali New Year, on April 14.
