12-year-old dies in isolation ward in Jashore

A 12-year-old girl has died in the isolation ward of Jashore 250-bed General Hospital, a day after she was admitted there with suspected symptoms of coronavirus.

The girl was admitted to the hospital at 4:30pm on Sunday and died around 6:30am on Monday. Her body was handed over to her family.

Arif Ahmed, resident medical officer of the hospital, said the girl was kept in quarantine after admitting there. The local representatives of the IEDCR were scheduled to collect samples from her body in today's morning. 

However, after hearing the symptoms of the girl’s illness, the representatives of the IEDCR said she was not infected with coronavirus.
