Coronavirus in Bangladesh: 1 more die, 6 new cases detected
Bangladesh on Tuesday reported its fourth death from coronavirus and identification of six new patients, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 39.
Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Director Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora announced this at a press briefing through online at IEDCR in Mohakhali.
Bangladesh reported the country’s first death from coronavirus on March 18.
However, the government has declared general holiday from March 29 to April 2 to stop spread of coronavirus.
Members of the army have been deployed today in all districts to combat coronavirus or COVID-19.
The government has decided to shut down public transport from March 26 to April 4 across the country.
The government also shut down all local, mail and commuter train services from today.
