Un-registered SIMs to be deactivated after 12am

The unregistered SIMs will be deactivated permanently after 12am on Wednesday without any warning.

Earlier the deadline of SIM re-registration through biometric method will expire on Tuesday night.

On Sunday, State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Tarana Halim warned that there will be no time extension for the re-registration of SIMs after May 31.

According to the Bangladesh telecommunication regulatory commission, there were 13.20 crore mobile phone subscribers in the country.
