Coronavirus: National Zoo shut down until March 31

The government has shut down the National Zoo in Dhaka to contain the spread of coronavirus which is ravaging the entire world.

“The National Zoo in Dhaka will remain closed from Friday till March 31,” said a press release of the Fisheries and Livestock Ministry, reports UNB.

Bangladesh on Friday announced the detection of three new coronavirus patients, raising the number of such cases in the country to 20.

The country’s first death from the coronavirus was recorded on March 18.

Meanwhile, the death toll from the coronavirus or COVID-19 has reached 10,049 globally as of Friday, according to worldometer.

The World Health Organization on March 11 declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic.
