Bangladesh reports first death of coronavirus patient
Bangladesh has reported its first death from the novel coronavirus.
Director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora revealed the information at a regular press briefing on Wednesday.
The 70-year-old man, who passed away on Tuesday, was also suffering from diabetic and kidney problems. He was kept at Intensive Care Unit, said the Director of IEDCR.
So far, a total of 14 coronavirus cases have been detected in the country, said Flora.
To be noted, Bangladesh confirmed first three cases of coronavirus on March 8.
