Lightning kills 4 in Gazipur

Four people have been killed by lightning strikes in Kaliganj upazila and in Sreepur of Gazipur on Monday.

A thunderbolt struck Mukund Das, 50, Sudhon Das, 30, son of Prem Das, and Nirab Das, 50, when they were guarding a fish enclosure, leaving them dead on the spot at noon, said Mahabub Alam Faruk, Chairman of Jamalpur union.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to a hospital morgue, reports UNB.

Meanwhile, Innachh Ali, a farmer of Sreepur, was killed as a thunderbolt struck him while he was returning home at about 3:30pm.
