'Avoid going to mosque with fever, sneeze, cough'
Islamic Foundation Bangladesh (IFB) has advised the overseas returnees, people having coronavirus symptoms, and ones suffering from fever, sneeze and cough to avoid going to mosque to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
"To keep the musolli (devotees) and world people safe from coronavirus infection, Islamic Foundation Bangladesh is advising the returnees from abroad, people having coronavirus symptoms, and ones suffering from fever, sneeze and cough not to enter mosque, and go to public places," said its director general Anis Mahmud.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, Anis urged Imams to discuss the suggestions with utmost importance at jummah khutbah (Friday sermon) in all mosques of the country.
He also specially requested the Imams to say special prayers to all-merciful Allah to save people from the novel coronavirus.
Bangladesh on Tuesday reported two more cases of coronavirus, raising the number of affected people by the virus to 10, said Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control And Research (IEDCR).
Detection of the coronavirus cases prompted Bangladesh government to close all educational institutions until March 31.
The deadly epidemic first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in Hubei province in December last year, and later spread to 162 countries and regions.
It, so far, killed as many as 7,182 people, and infected around 184,133 worldwide. As many as 79,921 people recovered from the virus, according to Worldometer, a website which compiles new case numbers of COVID-19.
